100 Days Of Change is Here! Each year Rwanda remembers the 100 days of genocide, which took place April 7 – July 17 1994. It was in that time that over 800 000 people were killed and many others in the surrounding countries. Lives were changed, displaced and stopped. Shelter Them has not forgotten what happened and how it has affected the children of that generation and the next. Many are homeless, sick physically, have mental trauma and have no hope of a future beyond the next 5 minutes. 100 Days of Change is where we collect change and put it to use in our programs. The instructions are easy and fun to do with only 5 simple steps:
1) Print out the label. Download the label in three different sizes: Small (3" x 2) - Medium (6" x 4") - Large (10" x 7.5")
2) Put the label on a jar. Kids can colour the picture and even decorate it. 3) Start filling it with change. 4) Be generous (of course). Imagine how much your coffee and chocolate money can really do 5) On July 17 you can drop off your collection at our office or count it all and send us a cheque or donate it online with Paypal on this website If you would like us to visit your church, school or work just contact us and we can talk about when the best time to come is. Or just call us to chat, we can't wait to hear from you
Please remember that without you, there is no us. |
